Akshay Kumar’s “OMG2” and Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2” will compete in theatres on August 11

Both the Akshay Kumar movie “OMG2″ and the Sunny Deol movie “Gadar 2″ will be released on the same day (August 11). Anil Sharma is the director of “Gadar 2,” while Amit Rai is in charge of “OMG2.” The advance ticket sales for both movies have already begun. OMG2: Akshay Kumar plays the avatar of Lord Shiv in the Amit Rai-directed movie. Along with Arun Govil of Ramayan fame, ‘OMG2’ will also star Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and others. On August 11, it will be released in theatres. The satirical comedy-drama is a follow-up to the popular movie “OMG- Oh My God!” from 2012. Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D. Shah, and Rajesh Bahl are the producers of the movie. Film’s creative producer is Dr. Chandraprakash Diwedi. Amalendu Chaudhary handled the movie’s cinematography.

Recently, Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) gave the film a green flag after marking it under the ‘A’ or ‘Adults Only’ category.

GADAR2:  Tara Singh is seen in the recently released trailer for “Gadar 2″ crossing the border in a risky attempt to save his son, who is played by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been kidnapped in Pakistan. Gadar 2, which takes place in Lahore in 1971, promises to live up to its predecessor’s high-octane action sequences while highlighting Tara Singh’s unrelenting rage against those who incite hate between India and Pakistan.


OMG2 reportedly sold 3200 tickets through national chains PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. In addition, 100 movie tickets were reserved at the MovieMax chain. 3300 tickets have been reserved in total in advance. This comes a day after the official teaser was released by the creators. Although this may not be a great number, industry insiders are hoping that it will start off well.

On the other hand, Two weeks before the movie’s release, the Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 has received a fantastic response from ticket buyers. According to a report on the trade website sacnilk, as of 9 p.m. on August 3, Gadar 2 has already sold about 55,000 tickets, ensuring a gross collection of Rs. 1.50 crore with 10 days until its release. Additionally, PVR is leading advance booking sales with 10,000 tickets sold on the first day, while the combined total for all three national chains (PVR, INOX, Cinepolis) is around 21,000.
