Tom Holland’s controversial scene in ‘The Crowded Room’ trending on Twitter

Tom Holland, the charismatic and talented British actor who plays Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has become a household name. However, his performance in a controversial scene in Apple TV+’s mini-series The Crowded Room has divided the internet.

Series is based on the true story of Billy Milligan, the first person to be acquitted of a crime because of dissociative identity disorder. The psychological thriller follows Danny Sullivan (played by Holland and based on Milligan) after he is arrested for his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979.

There is a controversial scene from episode eight of the show titled “Reunion” where  at a gay club, Tom Holland’s character indulges with a male.

The scene has not gone down well with everyone on social media, prompting many to respond to homophobic criticism.

The actor is quite trending on tweeter mentioning him and a intimate scene that he performed with another male actor.

Actor is receiving mixed reactions on the scene from both parties. Several people have expressed their support, while others have simply called him out. Some users expressed dissatisfaction with a scene depicting intimate physical contact between Tom Holland’s character and another male character, using explicit language to describe it negatively while some came into the support of the actor and threw a reverse backlash on the haters.
