TVS X, premium electric scooter by TVS: Advanced features, price and more

The TVS X is the second electric scooter that TVS Motor Company has released. Built on the sturdy TVS XLETON platform, which is well-known for its high-strength aluminum construction, is this cutting-edge scooter.

The TVS maintains a design that is largely derived from the 2018 Creon concept. Reservations for the TVS X open at midnight on August 24 and deliveries will start in November.

The TVS X distinguishes itself as a premium electric scooter with a plethora of cutting-edge digital and networked features. These consist of a user-friendly navigation system, a mapping tool for finding EV chargers, the ability to share the location of vehicles in real time, and more.

The TVS X’s ram air-cooled motor provides efficient cooling under a variety of driving circumstances. With its innovative permanent magnet motor, the scooter can reach a top speed of 105 kmph and go from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.6 seconds.

The recently created Xleton platform, upon which the new TVS X is built, is claimed to be 2.5 times stiffer than that of traditional scooters. With a low center of gravity in mind, the X e-scooter was created. The model has wide split seats that are intended to maximize comfort for both the rider and the pillion. Additionally, the model will have selectable regenerative braking. Three different driving modes are available to riders: Stealth, Xtride, and Xonic.

The TVS X is equipped with the latest SmartXonnect platform, NavPro, which was created in-house by the company. To access all of the features of the electric scooter, the model will have a 10.25-inch HD tilt screen setup. The infotainment system will have the ability to run a variety of apps, such as games, music, navigation, and more. There’s a good 19 liters of storage beneath the seat.

TVS Smart Xhield, which offers a variety of safety features like crash detection, speed limits, overspeeding alert, towing alert, geofencing, auto-locking, and more, will be installed on the electric scooter. A live location-sharing feature will be included with the TVS X so that the rider’s loved ones can be informed in real-time. Additionally customizable will be the infotainment system.

The TVS X will have a monoshock at the back and telescopic front forks mounted on an aluminum alloy frame underneath. A 220 mm single front disc and a 195 mm rear disc setup with single-channel ABS will provide the braking power. The e-scooter has 12-inch alloy wheels with a front tire that is 100/80 section and a rear tire that is 110/80 section. The seat height is 770 mm, and the ground clearance is 175 mm.

Starting at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the TVS X is available for purchase. Along with the option of a 3 kW smart home charger, the company is also selling a portable 950W charger for Rs 16,275. Interestingly, the TVS X model is not eligible for FAME incentives. Bookings are now being accepted, according to the company, and deliveries are expected to start in November 2023. The export of the TVS X to every TVS global market is scheduled to commence in the next fiscal year.
