UP will be a first state to have 18 ‘safe cities’: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh will be the first state in the country to have 18 ‘safe cities’, supplying a setting that is favorable for each state resident’s growth and safety, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Tuesday

Again, he stated “In second phase, municipalities of 57 district headquarters, and then in third phase, 143 municipalities, should be linked to the Safe City project.”

All these cities should be given special branding by having a signboard that reads “Safe City” at the entrance. The Chief Minister claimed that by doing this, Uttar Pradesh will have the most secure cities of any state in the nation.

He said, “Today, every woman and every businessman is safe in the state. People have a sense of security. For this belief to stay, we have to be in alert mode 247. The Safe City Project is proving to be extremely useful in fulfilling the resolve to ensure women’s safety, dignity, and self-reliance”

Through this project in the state, under the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, modern control rooms, pink police booths, Asha Jyoti Kendras, CCTV cameras, help desks for counsellors in women’s police stations, panic buttons in buses, and other security measures were implemented, he said.

Further he added, Right now Project is mainly focusing on women’s safety. We need to scale it up and tie it to the safety of the elderly, children and Dibyanjan. Safe City gives the impetus needed to campaign to create safe, secure and self-determining environments for women, children, the elderly and Divyanjans in public spaces. ,”.

Social welfare offices and urban development offices should cooperate in the systematic rehabilitation of people with mental disabilities and those engaged in begging
